Who's Primer for?
Primer is for anyone looking to learn useful business skills, from people just starting a small business to longtime business owners and from people looking for new job opportunities and students to brand managers.

Primer offers lessons on business planning, digital marketing, selling, finance, and much more to help you strengthen your business skills and your resume. For a complete list of our skills, visit our Lesson Catalog.
How do I find lessons?
There are 3 main ways to find Primer lessons:
To see lessons recommended for you based on the skills you’ve selected, visit the Home screen.
For lessons curated by the Primer team, check out the Explore screen. If you’d like to get updated when new lessons launch, you can turn on notifications in the Settings tab.
Finally, you can search for specific lessons, skills, or topics in the search bar at the top of the app.
How can I share what I’ve learned from Primer?
Primer’s lessons, lesson cards, key takeaways, and practical next steps are all shareable, making it easier for you, your colleagues or friends to put learnings into practice. To send or share a lesson, select the arrow at the top of the Lesson Recap page, or scroll down to send or share key takeaways and practical next steps from that lesson. To send or share an individual lesson card, select the arrow at the top of that card.
Where can I find my pinned cards?
Some people find it helpful to pin a particularly useful piece of information so they check back later without having to search through a whole lesson again.
To find your pinned cards, go to the Saved tab and select the Pinned section.
Who creates the lessons in Primer?
Primer partners with experts at Google and elsewhere to gather insights and knowledge which our team turns into fun, interactive lessons free of difficult business jargon so as to be accessible to users at all learning levels.
How can I change the language?
The Primer app is currently available in English, Spanish, Portuguese, Bahasa Indonesia, Hindi, Telugu, Vietnamese, Thai, and Malay.
Primer’s language is linked to the language settings of your phone – for instance, if you'd like to use the app in Portuguese, change the language settings of your phone to Portuguese and the app will switch automatically. If this doesn’t work, try closing the app and restarting it.
How often do you update the app?
We regularly add new lessons and are always improving our app. If you'd like to hear about Primer updates, you can turn on mobile or email notifications in the Settings section of your profile.
Can I receive certification for completing Primer lessons?
Primer currently doesn't provide any certifications, but the knowledge you gain through our lessons builds valuable business and marketing skills, which you can use to start or grow your business or even find a new job.
Is there a desktop version of Primer?
We designed our lessons for a mobile app, so they can be short, interactive, and taken whenever, even when you're not connected to the internet. We are, however, always updating and adding new features – if you'd like to hear about Primer updates, you can turn on mobile or email notifications.
